Classes are free and open to the public

Classes are held at Imagine!’s John M. Taylor Conference Center at 1665 Coal Creek Drive in Lafayette.

Check in from 9:30 – 10:00 am, seminar from 10:00 am – noon.

Forty years of research tells us that play is crucially important to children’s intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. Play is the work of childhood, providing children with the opportunity to maximize their attention spans, master concepts, prepare for reading, learn to get along with peers, cultivate their creativity, and identify their emotions.

In this two-hour facilitated seminar, parents, caregivers, professionals, educators/teachers, and community members will learn how to:

·       Arrange a supportive environment that promotes language, communication, and social interactions.

·       Respond to your child’s needs whether or not there is a diagnosis.

·       Collaborate with your early intervention or educational team.

·       Access resources for early intervention, social skills, and language intervention.

·       Build therapeutic interactions into your child’s day.

·       Involve family and community members.
