Electronic Visit Verification Stakeholder Meeting

The purpose of this meeting is to engage providers, members, and other stakeholders as the Department works to implement Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for community based services offered through both the State Plan and Waivers.

As part of the 21st Century CURES Act passed in November 2016, Medicaid programs are required to implement an EVV system for Personal Care services by 2019 and Home Health services by 2023. An EVV system is a telephone and computer based system that electronically verifies information regarding service visits including the date of service, the location of service delivery, the client information, attendant information, details on services performed, and the time that services begin and end. As Colorado considers options for compliance this mandate, we would appreciate the unique perspective of both urban and rural stakeholders on how an EVV system would interact with services received and delivered.
