Tapestry Theater Musical Revue - Shows at 1PM and 6PM
CenterStage's Tapestry Theatre Company is excited to announce our First Annual Musical Revue Fundraiser! Enjoy good food and great performances as we gather our community together and raise the money we need to expand Tapestry's offerings in the future.
Performances will be held Saturday, February 21st at 1:00pm and 6:00pm at the Tri-City Elks Lodge in Louisville.
We'll be presenting a compilation of scenes and songs from our first three summer productions as well as personal reflections from our actors. Both shows will feature food from Lucky Day Catering, with a dessert selection in the afternoon and an Italian feast in the evening. Tickets can be purchased from Brown Paper Tickets.
Tapestry is Boulder County's premier organization for giving kids and young adults with differing abilities the chance to shine on stage. Over the last three years, our annual summer show has grown and evolved at an astounding rate. Up to this point, the company has largely been a volunteer-based endeavor, but as we move into our next phase and strive to make Tapestry a yearlong program, the volunteer-only model is no longer viable. Our goal is to raise $20,000 through donations and sponsorships so that we can take Tapestry to the next level.
CenterStage's Tapestry Theatre Company casts young actors with special needs in lead roles, and peer mentor actors as understudies and support. Lead actors and ensemble members are partnered during the rehearsal and performance process. Providing actors with an opportunity to participate in theatre in an environment that is safe, welcoming, adaptive, and inclusive, Tapestry creates a community that encourages youth to experience diversity and forge long lasting friendships. This non-profit organization generates a large following among those who wish to put people with disabilities in the forefront—utilizing their gifts to the fullest. Tapestry Theatre invites actors of all abilities to experience the joy of the performing arts.
