Promoting Good Behavior: Training the trainer
Imagine! Innovations and Imagine! Behavioral Health Services present: “Promoting Good Behavior: Training the trainer”
Content? This training is designed to provide skills to professionals that will allow them to teach parents and other caregivers how to provide effective and appropriate behavior support at home and in the community. The participants in this training will learn how to: (a) help parents and other caregivers develop rules; (b) help parents and other caregivers develop appropriate consequences for both following the rules and for breaking them; (c) teach parents and other caregivers how to avoid power struggles; and (d) teach parents and other caregivers to avoid some common possible pitfalls in providing behavior support.
Each participant will leave with a full set of materials for training parents and other care providers. This set of materials will include a set of handouts that can be copied repeatedly for use when teaching parents how to provide effective and appropriate behavior support.
