Free Holiday Skate for People With Special Needs
When: Saturday, December 29, 2012, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM (please arrive by 12:30 PM to sign in and get skates)
Where: YMCA of Boulder Valley Ice Rink, 2800 Dagny Way (95th and Arapahoe), Lafayette, CO, 80026
What: Have you ever wanted to try skating? Have you ever wanted to play hockey or figure skate? Here is an opportunity to try skating in a supportive environment, with experienced instructors. Instructors from the YMCA Learn to Skate staff and coaches from the Colorado Ice Wizards/Rocky Mountain Special Hockey will assist skaters as they navigate the ice.
Who: Anyone with special needs/developmental disabilities aged five years and up

Skates and refreshments will be provided, please bring a helmet (if you have one) and gloves or mittens. Helmets will be provided if you don’t have one.
Representatives and players from the Rocky Mountain Special Hockey Inc. and from the YMCA Learn to Skate staff will be present to provide information for those who wish to continue activities on the ice.
