Mentorship Activities are considered
to be Personal Assistance services.
Mentoring is an optional service and is equivalent to emotional and decision-making
guidance which allows the person who has a developmental disability to exercise
greater control over their life. Mentorship Activities can include ongoing physical
assistance, verbal prompting and training. The following activities are all
considered Mentorship Activities:
Personal guidance
Connecting consumers with existing service providers
Recreation and leisure planning and coordination
Health, safety and hygiene support
Problem solving assistance
Emotional support
Community connecting
Social skill guidance
